Michael Petranek, age 36, of Cambridge died June 4, 2007 at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdaleas the result of a motorcyleaccident. Mass of Christian Burial will beat 11:00 A.M. on MONDAY, June 11th at Christ theKing Catholic Church in Cambridge with Father James David Hahn as Celebrant. A visitation will be heldfrom 4-8 P.M. on SUNDAY, June 10th at Strike Funeral Home – ISANTI Chapel and also 1 hour prior to the funeral Monday at the church. Interment will be in Strike Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Harley C. Petranek, Michael Petranek, Harley J. Petranek,Troy Baylis, Kayle Broman, Tony Fisher, Robert Pangrel and Daryl WIlson.
Michael Richard Petranek was born July 24, 1970 in Robbinsdale to Theresa Barcal and Stanley Petranek. He was raised and attended school in the Twin Cities area. In 1994 Mike and Missy met and they were married on February 20, 1999. They made their home in rural Cambridge. Mike was self employed as a mechanic. Mike loved playing with his children and riding his Harley motorcycle. He enjoyed cuddling with his wife on the couch and watching movies. He also enjoyed music, playing guitar, drums and saxophone. Mike was a jokester and enjoyed doing practical jokes.
Mike was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Nellie Anderson and Irene Hicks. He is survived by his wife, Melissa; children, Michael, Melissa, Miranda and Harley; mother, Theresa Barcal of Hopkins; father, Stanley Petranek of Roseville; brother, Harley petranek of St. Paul; sister, Stacie (Eric) Emery of Albertville; grandfather, James Anderson of Andover; and by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Why is so hard to deal with the loss of the one we all love & miss so much !! LUCKY it has been two years since you left us all & I know you are in our thoughts & prayers every day! We will hear the rumble of a Harley & think of you, or or hear a certain song on the radio & you come to mind, or for our family alls we have to do is look at our son Michael that we named after you & we think of you!!
