Bernice L. Tuma, age 61, of rural Stacy, passed away August 1, 2007 at Unity Hospital in Fridley. A visitation will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 PM on Saturday, August 4th at Strike Funeral Home – Isanti Chapelwith a prayer service at 3 PM. Father James David Hahn will officiate at the Prayer Service.
Bernice Leona Tuma was born in Minneapolis on January 10, 1946. Her parents were Ervin and Olga Bloms. She was raised in Minneapolis and graduated from Edison High School. Bernice attended Brown Institute for 2 years and became a lab tech. On September 26, 1989 she married Lawrence Skip Tuma. They made their home in Circle Pines until moving to rural Stacy in 1999. Bernice was employed by the Columbia Park Medical Group for over 30 years. She enjoyed her garden and growing flowers and she also enjoyed fishing.
Bernice is survived by her husband, Skip of Stacy; 2 daughters, Cheryl Domino and Lou of Illinois, Renee Engle and Bob of Browerville; 2 granddaughters, Heather and Amanda; brother, Jerry Bloms and Nancy of Orono; sister, Kathy Patterson and Roger of Stacy; and by many other relatives and friends.

I worked with Bernie by phone sometimes, and she was always there to answer questions and give advise on specific things that would pop up for us on the Occ Health problems with billing. She always had the answers. She will be missed on a personal and a professional level here at CPMG!!
