Marino Paron, age 81, of Cambridge passed away July 1, 2008 at the Cambridge Health Care Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, July 7th at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with Father Jose Edayadiyil as Celebrant. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 6th from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Strike Funeral Home – Isanti Chapel with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. Cantor will be Gail Genin. The pallbearers are Ken Hirth, David and Doug Maros, David, Dean and Greg Paron. Interment will be in Crystal Lake Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Marino Anthony Paron was born August 1, 1926 in St. Anthony to Louis and Caterina Paron. He was raised and lived his early years in St. Anthony. Marino served in the Navy during WWII. On October 25, 1952 he married Dee Hirth and they made their home in New Brighton. They moved to rural North Branch in 1966 and then in 2000 they moved to Pine Village in Cambridge. Marino was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Isanti and the Isanti Lions Club. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator and was a member of Local Union #49. Marino enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and trap shooting.
Marino passed away on July 1, 2008 at the Cambridge Health Care Center at the age of 81 years and 11 months. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Dee on July 2, 2007, and 1 brother, August.
He is survived by 1 brother, Jim (Louise) Paron of Mounds View; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ron and Marlene Hirth of Fridley; 2 sisters-in-law, Shirley Pietilainen of Fridley and Marie Hirth of Brooklyn Center; and by many nieces, nephews and friends.
