Judy K. Norman, age 55, of Cambridge passed away November 30, 2008 at the Villages of North Branch after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 3rd at Cambridge Lutheran Church with Pastor David Everett officiating. A vistiation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 2nd at Strike Funeral Home – Cambridge Chapel as well as 1 hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Judy Kay Norman was born February 21, 1953 in Omak, Washington to Casper and Arlene (Neumueller) Anderson. Their family lived in Washington and Medford, Wisconsin before moving to Cambridge in 1958. Judy was confirmed at Cambridge Lutheran Church and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1971. She also attended Cambridge Community College for two years. On December 7, 1985 Judy married Mark Norman and they made their home in Cambridge. Judy was employed by the Isanti County Sheriffs Department as a 911 operator for over 20 years. Judy was also a member of Cambridge Lutheran Church. She loved to read and learn new things. Judy also enjoyed gardening, fishing, traveling, cooking, cross stitching and antiquing. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends.
Judy Norman passed away November 30, 2008 at the Villages of North Branch after a long and courageous battle with cancer at the age of 55 years, 9 months and 9 days.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Casper and Arlene Anderson; brother, Allen Anderson; nephews, Kevin Anderson and Mark Travis; niece, Susan Johnson; and brother-in-law, Roger Travis.
Judy is survived by her loving husband, Mark; son, Brian Peterson of Duluth; daughter, Amy (Lee) Yarbrough of Isanti; three sisters, Lois Johnson of Fridley, Lonna (Glen) Erickson of New London, Sandy (Keith) Johnson of Isanti; four grandchildren, Katelyn, Brianna and Mark Peterson, and Addison Yarbrough; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wilfred and June Norman of Cambridge; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mike and Jodi Norman of Cambridge, Jon and Teri Kukachka of Coon Rapids; nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
Remember the good times, the laughter, the joy she brought to each of you. I have heard such great things about her. She was truly a hero by those who knew her. My prayers are with you.
