Dawn Marie Goldenstein, age 43, of Isanti passed away January 8, 2009 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, January 14th at Faith Lutheran Church in Isanti with Rev. Valerie Brown-Greenly officiating. A time for visiting will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Interment will be in Athens Lutheran Cemetery.
Dawn Marie Goldenstein was born March 31, 1965 in Minneapolis, the first of two girls born to Clinton and Irene Goldenstein. She lived her early years in Minneapolis and then in 1972 the family moved to Isanti. Dawn graduated from Cambridge High School, Class of 1983. She lived in Georgia for awhile with her sister, Linda, before moving back to the family home in Isanti. Dawn loved all kinds of outdoor activities from taking care of the yard, tending to her flowers and feeding the birds. She loved ice fishing and snowmobiling in the winter and fishing, boating and camping in the summer. Mike and Dawn spent many weekends at their family cabin in Wisconsin. She loved going to stock car races and any other event of that kind when her schedule permitted.
Dawn lost her battle with cancer peacefully on January 8, 2009 at her home at the age of 43 years, 9 months and 8 days. She was preceded in death by her father, Clinton Goldenstein; her sister, Linda Goldenstein; and by her grandparents. Dawn is survived by her mother, Irene Goldenstein of Isanti; her special friend, Mike Jansen of North Branch; goddaughter, Amaya Raths of Donnelly; and by aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.

I’m sorry to hear Dawn is gone, she was a real good person. She use to babysit my son Jacob and both her and Linda helped me out when I had car trouble in Georgia.
