Chester Duck, Jr., age 95, of Eden Prairie died March 4, 2009 at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, March 6th at Strike Funeral Home – Isanti Chapel with Rev. Jonathan Larson officiating. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be in North Isanti Baptist Cemetery.
Chester Warren Duck, Jr. was born September 3, 1913 in Altoona, Pennsylvania to Chester and Effie Duck. He was raised in Altoona and graduated from Altoona High School. Chester then graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and became an electrical engineer. On December 12, 1936 he married Emsie Guyer at First Presbyterian Church in Altoona. They made their first home in Pittsburgh, later moving to Youngstown, Ohio where they lived for 10 years. They then moved to Buffalo, New York, later returning to Pittsburgh to make their home. In 1998 they moved to Cambridge. His wife, Emsie, died on December 14, 2005. Chester moved to Eden Prairie to live with his daughter, Elaine, and family. Chester was employed by Graybar Electric Company for his entire working career. He was a member of North Isanti Baptist Church.
Chester passed away on March 4, 2009 at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park at the age of 95 years, 6 months and 1 day. He is survived by his son, Chet (Joyce) Duck of Isanti; daughter, Elaine (Richard) Larson of Eden Prairie; 3 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Chet and I spent many good years working together at Evangel and the Mideast, I respected him for his willingness to speak out, we seen eye to eye on many things. I will miss him.
