I have very fond memories of my cousin, Joel. They start when I was very young. Joel stayed with us for a few weeks at a time through the summer. He would take me swimming down at the beach and then stop for a treat on the way home. I always wanted to buy a toy, but Joel convinced me to buy something to EAT rather than something to PLAY WITH! He also showed me the correct way to eat an apple…with only the stem remaining!
I’ve always had high respect for Joel. He was a big man, but very kind and soft-hearted. I never heard him say a bad word about anyone.
I know you will all miss him so very much. I didn’t get to see him as much as I would like to have, but will always remember the things he stood for and the things he shared with me through the years.
With all my love,
John Nordine
