My dad passed on peacefully to Heaven. He loved the Lord and knew that because of what Jesus did for him, he would live eternally in the presence of God. He taught me about Jesus and I am blessed that he is my father. There is not a father that could love more than he did. He was so loving.

Dad never once forgot to tell me that he loved me, no matter how good or bad things were, no matter how short or long our conversation was. Sometimes I didn’t feel like I was that lovable, but he always turned that around and made me feel better. I will always remember Dad as being the greatest example of love and a tender heart underneath that I have known. Even though he is gone, I can still feel his love. That is an awesome legacy.

Grandpa was tough on the outside and tender on the inside, and he let both sides show through his sense of humor and outlook on life. He always made me laugh and always seemed genuinely interested in me as a person, not just because I was his granddaughter. Since I was little he let me know how much he loved me, and that family was the most important thing to him. I am grateful to have that influence in my life, and to be loved by such a great man. Grandpa will be missed, and I will always remember being a little girl, taking long walks with him up North along the dirt roads around Mille Lacs. I love you Grandpa.
