Virgil H. Callin, age 77, of Isanti died December 26, 2010 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 29th at Strike Funeral Home – Isanti Chapel with Rev. Clell Bone officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Athens Lutheran Cemetery.
Virgil Hjalmer Callin was born November 4, 1933 in St. Paul to Hjalmer and Martha Callin. When he was 6 years old his family moved to Isanti and he attended Isanti and Cambridge schools. Virgil married Frances Krazyzanowski on Valentines Day, February 14, 1953. They made their home in the Twin Cities for 2 years and then in 1955 they moved to a farm in rural Isanti when they have since lived. Virgil loved farming and he worked at Honeywell for 42 ½ years before retiring. He especially enjoyed being with his family and all of the family activities and being with friends. Virgil was a quiet and private man who will be deeply missed.
Virgil Callin died on December 26, 2010 at his home at the age of 77 years, 1 month and 22 days.
Virgil is survived by his wife, Frances of Isanti; 3 children, Virgil L. (Sue) Callin of Isanti, Nancy (Tom) Schibilla of Mora, Sue (Tim) Sjodin of Isanti; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Arline Siewert of Hastings; and by many other relatives and friends.
We have lost a very special part of our family. Virgil will truly be missed. Our hearts, prayers and support go out to Fran and her children. May the Lord be with each of you at this trying time in your lifes.
Those we love remain part of us. Our loved ones leave the world, but never our hearts.
Virgil will be missed in our daily lives. His strength, loyalty, fortitude and kindness will be with us in memories.

I have lost my brother but fond family memories remain. His absence brings a void to my life but he is at peace in a his new home. He joins his brother, mother and father in heaven.
The memories of my Grandpa are ones of laughter, jokes, and fun times. He is a special person and we all love and miss him very much.
