Howard Grover, age 84,of Isanti died after a long battle with cancer on January 19, 2011 at Health and Rehab of New Brighton. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 22nd at Strike Funeral Home – Isanti Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Howard Lewellyn Grover was born May 25, 1926 in Tomah, Wisconsin to Ray and Frances Grover. He was raised and lived his early years in Wisconsin. Howard served in the Army from 1944 1947. After the service he lived in Coon Rapids and was a member of the American Legion in Coon Rapids. On September 17, 1969 he married Goldie Steenerson in Codinton County, South Dakota. They made their home in Ramsey.Howard was employed as a truck driver. After he retired they moved to Princeton and then to Isanti in 1992. Howard enjoyed working with wood, doing wood crafts and making lawn ornaments. He also enjoyed gardening and was an avid fisherman.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a step-son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Lois Steenerson and by granddaughter, Michelle St. Ledger.
Howard in survived by his wife, Goldie of Isanti; 7 children, Robert (Susanne) Steenerson of Anoka, Deborah (Calvin) Calander of Isanti, Linda Warren, Terry Grover, Joy Taylor, Howard Grover, Jr., Ted Grover; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; by siblings; and by many other relatives and friends.
