Raymond Richter, age 82, of East Bethel died January 24, 2011 at Unity Hospital in Fridley. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 28th at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Oak Grove with Fr. David Blume as Celebrant. A visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday, January 27th at Strike Funeral Home – Isanti Chapel and also one hour prior to the funeral Friday at the church. Interment will be in Old Bethel Cemetery.
Raymond John Richter was born November 24, 1928 in St. Cloud to John and Edith Richter. He was raised and lived his early years in St. Cloud. Raymond married Donna Kurr on October 14, 1948 in St. Cloud. They made their first home in St. Paul and then moved to East Bethel where they have since made their home. Raymond was employed by Union Oil in Minneapolis for 42 years. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Oak Grove. Raymond enjoyed the family gatherings, especially the Holidays. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and going up north to the cabin with his grandsons.
Raymond Richter died January 24, 2011 at Unity Hospital in Fridley at the age of 82 years and 2 months. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one son, John and by four sisters.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Donna of East Bethel; 5 children, Sharon (Dennis) Ferguson of St. Francis, Mike Richter of East Bethel, Keith (Debbie) Richter of East Bethel, Tim Richter of Isanti, Nancy (Dave) Emmons of Plymouth; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Jean Kappel of St. Cloud; and by many other relatives and friends.

It has been an honor to have cared for him and I will always remember the great discussions Ray and I would have during his dialysis treatments. He could always put a smile on my face.
