Ruth Sandstrom, age 91, of Cambridge died July 9, 2011 at GracePointe Crossing Gables West. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M.on Saturday, July 16, 2011 atthe Cambridge Lutheran Church with Rev. David Everett officiating. Friends may gather 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Cambridge Lutheran Cemetery.
Ruth Victoria Sandstrom was born February 24, 1920 in Cambridge to Emma and W. J. Anderson. She was raised in Cambridge/Springvale Township and attended the Pine Brook School. Ruth married Randy Sandstrom in 1952 and they made their home in the Cambridge area. In 1995 she moved to Ashland Place Apartments and just recently entered the nursing home. Ruth was a member of the Cambridge Lutheran Church. The family expresses special thanks to Carol and Greta for their love and compassion.
Ruth Sandstrom died July 9, 2011 at GracePointe Crossing Gables West at the age of 91 years, 4 months and 15 days. She was preceded in death by her husband, Randy; daughter, Connie; three brothers, Donald, Wilford and Delornie; one sister, Violet.
She is survived by three children, Dan (Cari) Sandstrom of Minnetonka, Larry (Suzy) Sandstrom of Longwood, Florida, Cindy Hanson and Michael Coffin of Brook Park; six grandchildren, Peter, Jill, Emma, Heidi, Dena and Ravi; six great-grandchildren, Austin, Madeline, Haley, Brodie, Kamron and Chase; one brother, Roy (Eleanor) Anderson of Cambridge; one sister, Gloria Anderson of Cambridge; and by other relatives and friends.
I am so sorry to hear about Ruth’s passing. She was a very special person. She led us to our birth mother and it changed all our lives forever. I will always be thankful to her for all the memories she has given me!!

I’am sorry to hear about your mothers passing, I’ll say a prayer for you and your family. I would have liked to attend the funeral but saturday is my grand-daughters graduation party. Again I will be thinking of you and your mother.
