Albert J. Mahlberg, age 60, of Maple Ridge Township died August 17, 2011 at Unity Hospital in Fridley. Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 27th at Strike Funeral Home – Cambridge Chapel with Rev. Delwayne Hahn officiating. A time for visiting will be held one hour prior to the service.
Albert Mahlberg was born March 17, 1951 to Albert and Magdalena (Kaiser) in Vienna, Austria. In 1956 they moved to America and settled in Minneapolis and then moved to Anoka and finally to Braham. As a child Al went to elementary school in Minneapolis, middle school in Anoka and graduated from Braham High School, class of 1969.
Al worked at Ware Manufacturing in New Hope for several years before joining Leaf Industries in Plymouth, where he worked for over 30 years. He enjoyed going to the casino, watching sports on TV, and playing the accordion and guitar. Al was happy doing family activities especially going to the Frontier Steak House in Princeton. He loved taking walks with his dog, Capone.
Albert J. Mahlberg died August 17, 2011 at Unity Hospital in Fridley at the age of 60 years and 5 months.
He is survived by brother, Robert (Robyn) of Andover and their children Jaime (Troy) Grabow and their children, Abigail and Annika of Edina and Heather Mahlberg and her daughter, Peyton of Eldon, MO and brother, Joey of Isanti.

I had a nice chat with Al 2 years ago at our 40th class reunion. He was pretty proud of his KIA with over 300,000 miles on it. Sad to have him pass but I’m sure the pain was bad. God Bless, AJ

Al was a wonderful neighbor to us for the past fifteen years. We will really miss his friendly wave, great converstations, smile and humor. We extend our sympathy to Al’s family as they grieve the sudden loss of a great guy.
