Larry Lutz, age 68, of Champlin died October 25, 2011 at his home. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 28th at Long Lake Lutheran Church in Isanti with Rev. Matt Flom officiating. A visiting time will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Larry Wayne Lutz was born October 5, 1943 in Aberdeen, South Dakota, to Earl and Lorena Lutz. He was raised in Aberdeen and graduated from Central High School in Aberdeen, Class of 1961. Larry then attended Northwestern College in Aberdeen and became a teacher. He taught one year in Monticello and moved to Champlin in 1971. He taught at Osseo Senior High School from 1971 until 2001 when he retired. In Osseo he was the girls tennis coach and he also coached the Champlin-Dayton Athletics softball team. Larry especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and enjoying the outdoors.
Larry passed away from cancer at his home in Champlin on October 25, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Lutz and Lorena Evans Lutz. He is survived by his fiancé, Robyn DesRosier; four children, Mark Lutz, Jennifer (Brian) Manion, Anthony DesRosier, LaNae DesRosier; three grandchildren, Gregory Hawks, Daniel Manion, Jessica Manion; one brother, two sisters, and by many other relatives and friends.

Larry and I taught together for our first four years at Osseo – he in psychology, and I was a 12th grade social studies teacher. We shared the favorite male teacher award one year.
I feel very sad at his passing, and wish to express my deepest sympathy to his family.
