Ardis L. Brague, age 87, of Cambridge died November 5, 2011 at GracePointe Crossing Gables West. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Wednesday, November 9th at Cambridge Lutheran Church with Rev. Jon Pederson officiating. A visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 8th at Strike Funeral Home – Cambridge Chapel and also one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church.
Ardis Lorraine Brague was born July 18, 1924 in Isanti, Minnesota to Albin and Annie (Norin) Haselius. She attended school in Isanti County and received her Minnesota Public School Diploma in 1939. On November 14, 1944 Ardis married Howard Chalstrom and they lived in Isanti. Howard passed away February 1990. On June 23, 1973 she married Robert Brague and they made their home in Isanti. Ardis worked at Schunk’s Variety Store in Isanti for many years. They moved to Cambridge in 1996 and a year later Robert passed away. Ardis was an awesome seamstress, an avid bowler and she also enjoyed kitten ball, gardening and working on puzzles. She was a long time member of Cambridge Lutheran Church.
Ardis Brague died November 5, 2011 at GracePointe Crossing Gables West at the age of 87 years, 3 months and 18 days. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Howard W. Chalstrom, second husband, Robert S. Brague, sister Marian Stolt, and grandchildren, Heidi Eggert and Alan E. Brague (Eddie).
Ardis is survived by five children, Mike (Marie) Chalstrom of Osseo, Keith (Cheri) Chalstrom of Albertville, Julie Erlendson of Cambridge, Allan (Diane) Brague of Winona, Larry Brague of LaCrosse, WI; one brother, Warren Haselius of Isanti; two sisters, Jane (Walt) Mitchell of Cambridge, Fern Lindquist of Cambridge; 14 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, 18 great-great-grandchildren; and by many other relatives and friends.
