Bruce Splittstoser, age 62, of North Branch died December 26, 2011 unexpectedly at home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at St. John Lutheran Church in Weber with Rev. Kevin Zellers officiating. A visiting time will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery.
Bruce Allen Splittstoser was born June 9, 1949 in Minneapolis to Emanuel and Lucille (Krans) Splittstoser. He was raised in North Branch Township, Isanti County, and attended school in North Branch. At an early age he became interested in animals and birds. This led him into dairy farming and raising exotic animals and birds. Bruce loved the farm and being in the country. He was a very caring and compassionate person who enjoyed being with family and friends and would do anything for them. His hobbies included butchering and meat processing. He loved to cook and sponsor pig roasts. Bruce also enjoyed boating, fishing and going to garage sales and auctions collecting antiques.
Bruce Splittstoser died unexpectedly at his home on December 26, 2011 at the age of 62 years, 6 months and 17 days. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents and by an infant brother.
He is survived by3 children, Jody, John and Cable; 3 brothers, Dan (Diane) Splittstoser and their 5 children, Mark (Fran) Splittstoser and their 4 children, Lyle Splittstoser and his 2 children; 2 sisters, Joyce (John) Wiberg and their 2 children, Betty (Don) Boll; by nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
