LaVonne J. Wigdahl, age 79, of Naples, Florida, wife of Dr. Luther Wigdahl, died January 11, 2012 at home.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, January 18th at Cambridge Lutheran Church with Rev. David Everettofficiating. A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. onTuesday,January 17th at Strike Funeral Home – Cambridge Chapel. Interment will be in Isanti Union Cemetery.
Wigdahl, LaVonne J., age 79, of Naples, FL and Isanti, MN, passed away on Wednesday, January 11 at her home in Florida with her immediate family and the caring help of Avow Hospice. LaVonne was born in Lake Andes, SD on April 29, 1932 and was married to Luther O. Wigdahl in Pickstown, SD on December 27, 1951. She was dedicated first and foremost to her Lord, husband of 60 years, and to her three children and their families. She loved her loons on Green Lake, Blue Herons at High Point, and the humming birds on the Isanti farm. She was preceded in death by her parents (Norris and Alice Nelson); two brothers (Arnold and Robert); and three sisters (Fern, Gladys, and Alice). She is survived by two brothers, Nathan (Florence) and Carney); her husband (Luther); three children, Brian (Betty), Loren (Mary), and Jeanne (James); eight grandchildren (Tad, Katie, Eric, Danny, Crystal, Tiffany, Michael, and Paul); and five great grandchildren (Ethan, Evita, Hailey, Becca, and Bomani). A special visitation for family and friends will be held at Strike Funeral Home in Cambridge, MN on January 17 from 5-8 PM. The funeral service will be held on January 18 at 11:00 AM at Cambridge Lutheran Church. The interment will be held atIsanti Union Cemetery (county road 5, just East of route 65) immediately following the celebratory service. Memorials preferred to the American Lung Association and Naples Avow Hospice.
