Laurel Beager says
My thoughts are with Bert’s family. I know they must have many wonderful memories.
Bert was one of the most colorful characters at The Daily Journal/North Star Publishing in International Falls.
He always had a joke for me, and gave me some good ribbing as a 20 something-year old reporter 27 years ago when I began work.
He has been, and will be even more now, missed around the Icebox of the Nation.
