Patti Nelson, age 55,of Isanti died January 12, 2012 at Cambridge Medical Center. Funeral services will be heldat 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 15th at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in East Bethel with Rev. Steve Melander officiating. A visitation will be held from 2:00 – 6:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 14th at Strike Funeral Home – Isanti Chapel and also one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Athens Lutheran Cemetery.
Patti Ann Nelson was born May 4, 1956 in Minneapolis to Glen and Lois (Palmer) Tallman. When she was an infant her family moved to rural Isanti where she was raised. Patty graduated from St. Francis High School, Class of 1974. On May 14, 1977 she married Ernest Nelson and they made their home in Isanti. Patti worked for Elaine’s Flowers in Isanti several years and then at Reichels Grocery in Isanti. Patti then worked at Minnco Credit Union since they built the Isanti location several years ago. She was an active member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church in East Bethel where she sang in a folk music group. Besides the family activities and church activities, she also enjoyed scrapbooking.
Patti Nelson passed away January 12, 2012 at Cambridge Medical Center at the age of 55 years 8 months and 8 days. Patti was preceded in death by her father, Glen Tallman.
She is survived by her husband, Ernie Nelson of Isanti; 3 children, Jeremy (Jennifer) Nelson of Milaca, Bryan (Jacqueline) Nelson of Zimmerman, Amy Nelson of Isanti; 2 grandchildren, Cody and Owen; mother, Lois Tallman of Isanti; sister, Peggy (Phil) Peterson of Isanti; 2 nieces, Lyndsie and Caitlyn Peterson; and by many other relatives and friends.

Im so sorry for the loss of your wife,mother,daughter,sister,grandma and friend.I remember the Nelson family from when they went to Faith Lutheran Church in Isanti, and how excited they all were when along came Amy.Patti,was a very loving person. She loved the Lord with all her heart and we pray that you, her family, will find peace and comfort in knowing she is “home” in Christ with no more suffering.

So sorry to hear about Patti, she was always fun to be around, we did have alot of fun playing bingo at Wintergreen’s, she will be miised by a lot of people. May God comfort you and yours in this time of mourning.
Patti will be greatly missed by many of us. We were fortunate to call her friend and share many happy times at St. Andrew. There will always be a song in my heart for her.

I was saddened to hear of Patti’s passing. We worked together at Elaine’s Flowers. We had some great times working there. Just learned about Patti from Bruce. We’ve enjoyed Patti’s friendship for so many years…watching her grow up with our boys during her school years, at Elaine’s, and always a friendly smile at the Credit Union plus catching up on family. Ernie and family, I am so very sorry for your loss. I knew Patti for many years and she never failed to brighten my day with her wonderful smile and spirit. I was always so happy to see her, at neighborhood stuff, at Elaine’s, Reichel’s and of course at Minnco. We all have lost a wonderful person who made everyone’s life brighter just by knowing Patti.
