Ordean Stromgren, age 85, of Ham Lake died February 16, 2012 at home. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 20th at Constance Free Churchwith Rev. Randy Discher and Rev. Jim Scottofficiating. A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 -8:00 P.M. Sunday, February 19th AT THE CHURCH as well as one hour prior to the service Monday at the church.
Ordean Axel Stromgren was born August 22, 1926 in Isanti to Abel and Olive (Berg) Stromgren. The family moved to Constance where he was raised and graduated from Anoka High School. Ordean married Marilyn Peterson on December 4, 1948 and they made their home in Ham Lake. He was employed by Land O’Lakes for 50 years. Ordean was a long time, active member of Constance Evangelical Free Church in Andover. His interests included camping, socializing and the Ham Lake Senior Citizen Group. Ordean had a great sense of humor and always had a joke to tell. He will be greatly missed by many.
Ordean Stromgren passed away at his home on February 16, 2012 at the age of 85 years, 5 months and 25 days. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn in 2004; one brother, Wendell and by his sister, Eunice Johnson.
Ordean is survived by four children, Tim (Linda) of South St. Paul, Dan (Linda) of Cambridge, Lori Stromgren and fiancé Chuck Maxwell of Cambridge, Vicki (Dale) Sanborn of Ham Lake; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; one brother, Marvin Stromgren of Coon Rapids; and by many other relatives and friends.
