Family was very important to Lucy. She liked family gatherings with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She taught Sunday school and was a Brownie Leader when her kids were young. She was also the family record keeper, if you wanted to know who, when or where a marriage, birth or death occurred, she was the one to ask and she was always the one to call you with well wishes on your special day. She also loved to crochet and was very close to her sister Nita, they could be found traveling together or just having a chat over coffee often.
She worked as a factory worker and as a Nurses Aide. After retiring she babysat a number of her great-grandchildren frequently along with helping with the neighborhood children.

A sweeter mother-in-law I could not have asked for. Your adoration for your entire family was amazing. I learned so much from knowing you. My heart aches that I was not able to be with you before your journey home. I will forever hold dear our “phone chats” and all the other wonderful memories. I hated the long drive and the packing (& yes I did need 4 pr of shoes for 3 days) for our visits but once we were there I was so happy that I came. You and your family never made me regret the little inconvience of it all. You and Gary’s sisters made each and every visit memorable. Have a wonderful time up there and we will be with you later Mom. I love you so much and will miss you like crazy. Please give my husband a kiss for me and tell him I miss him so very much. 2 huge losses in one year is tough for us but we will do our best.
Kathy (Gary) Lindell
My sympathy and prayers go out to the entire family of your precious, wonderful Lucy! I did not get a chance to meet her, but I heard nothing but loving things from Jan and Erika who I work with. Just knowing Jan,I know that she has passed down some warm and caring qualities to her family. May you find strength in Gods Love to help you get through the tough times that are ahead. Cherish all the special memories you have of Lucy and soon you will be able to replace the tears and pain with a warm heart,a smile and a great sense of pride when thinking of her.
Mom you were the wind beneath my sail. Always a kind word for everyone. If I needed a shoulder to lean on you were there. I know you had a peaceful passing and are havingbuy a great time with Dad, Gary, Nita and grandma Tulla. You will be missed but I charis every minute I spent with you. Will miss our morning cup of coffee together but each morning cup I have now will remind me of you. Love always. I’ll dance with Kaitlyne for you.
