Dolores E. Pratt, age 91,of Cambridge died November 2, 2012 at GracePointe Crossing Gables West. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, November 5th at Strike Funeral Home – Cambridge Chapel with Rev. Gail Nord officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Dolores Elaine Pratt was born October 1, 1921 in Bethel, Minnesota to George and Myrtle (Johnson) Gerdin. She grew up and attended school in Bethel. On October 12, 1940 Dolores was married to Clifford Pratt at the Little Brown Church in Iowa. They made their home in Bethel where they started their family. Their family then moved to Braham in the early 1950’s. Dolores worked as a dietician at the Braham Hospital for 13 years until it closed. She then worked in the kitchen at the Braham schools. In 1990 Dolores and Clifford moved to Ashland Place in Cambridge and a short time later Clifford passed away.
Dolores enjoyed reading, playing word find, number find and solitaire. She also liked to play the keyboard and could play by ear. Dolores was also a very good baker. She had a great sense of humor and was very good at telling jokes. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Dolores Pratt passed away November 2, 2012 at GracePointe Crossing Gables West at the age of 91 years, 1 month and 1 day. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford; brothers, Floyd Gerdin, Marcel Gerdin, George Gerdin and by an infant brother, Curtis; sisters, Ila Mae Dudziak, Fern Smith and an infant sister, Hazel, and by another infant sibling.
She is survived by four children, Judy (Norry) Sorenson of Isanti, Dennis Pratt of St. Cloud, Karen Erickson of Elk River, and Pam (Paul) Olson of Elk River; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Don Dudziak of Columbia Heights; sister-in-law, Koreen Gerdin of Cambridge; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
