Billy Engren, age 58, of Grasston died December 7, 2012 at his home. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at the Strike Funeral Home – Cambridge Chapel with Rev. Howard Skulstad officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before the service on Tuesday.
Billy Allen Engren was born in Minneapolis on June 12, 1954 to Arthur and Irene (Gaslin) Engren. He was raised in the Anoka/Coon Rapids area. Billy moved to Bethel where he would live many years. He purchased a home and moved to Grasston on December 9, 2011. It was his dream to own his own home where he could take his horses and his dogs. His horses were his passion and his dogs were his best friends. Billy was employed at Owen/Cummings in Fridley for 10 years.
Billy passed away at his home in Grasston on December 7, 2012 at the age of 58 years, 5 months and 25 days. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Leonard. Billy is survived by 5 siblings, Lawrence Engren of North Branch, Donald Engren of Clear Lake, Richard (Connie) Engren of Isanti, Edie Lundholm and Mike Vasseur of Otsego, Ronald (Linda) Engren of Albert Lea; by sister-in-law, Verna Engren of Anoka; and by many other relatives and friends.

A man who would give you “the shirt off his back” even if it was his only shirt.
We feel blessed to have known Billy. God chose to take him from us too soon but his suffering
is ended.
