I am so sorry to hear about Hart Man (Don). I always enjoyed visiting and having lunch with him when I would come home in the summer. He was a good friend to me and at times a confidante. He always sent me a Joke of the Day email and these last few months I was worried when I wasn’t receiving them on a regular basis anymore. But, of course, when I did hear from him he always played down his illness. He was a great guy and will be missed by me and so many others.
Take care and you are in my prayers daily just as Don was.

Pam,
Please accept the deepest and most heartfelt condolences from all of us who have played golf with Don in the Serie/Maddens tournament for these last 28 years. I know I speak for us all when I say that there’s no one we’d rather have teed it up with than Don; he represented the epitome of easygoing grace in a sport that turns practically everyone into a raging crabapple.
We’ve been emailing each other back and forth in shock and dismay over Don’s departure, and no one can see how we can go on without him. But we will, in his honor, because of course that’s how he’d have wanted it.
We love Don dearly, forever, and much love and grace to you Pam, always and forever,
Don’s Maddens brothers

I am so very sorry to know Don is no longer with you. He was a great guy, and I will miss seeing him at work, most of all the way he liked to tease me. The woodpecker feeder he made for me, hangs in my back yard on an oak tree. I am reminded of what a gentle giant, an thoughtful man he was, every time I look at it. Jim and I wish you PEACE during this difficult time.
Steve Traczyk says

Pam,
My condolences to you on your loss of Don. He and I were employees of the good old days at FMC and then again at Panther. He helped me obtain employment at Panther after my lay off at BAE Systems last year. He would always stop and talk to me while on the shop floor.
We will miss him dearly, but treasure the great memories we have of him. God’s blessings to you and your family during this difficult time in your life.
