Ervin C. Hughes, Jr., age 80, of Princeton died January 31, 2013 at the Elim Home in Princeton surrounded by his family. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Monday, February 4th at Strike Funeral Home – Cambridge Chapel with Deacon Mark Barder officiating. A visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until the service. Interment will be at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
Ervin C. Hughes Jr. was born November 30, 1932 in Anoka, Minnesota to Ervin Sr. and Minnie (Tauer) Hughes. He is survived by his loving wife, Helen; daughter, Joyce (David) Hedberg; two sons, Douglas (Natalie) Hughes, and Derron Hughes; brother, Marlin (Cecilia) Hughes; two sisters, Diane (James) Chapeau, and Valeria (Doug) Brust; grandchildren, Ashly, Todd, Sam, Branden, Shonda, Brett and Bryana; great-grandchildren, Nick, Konner, Brody, Michael, Brooklynn, Wolfgang and Kitzen; and other relatives and friends, and his beloved dog, Annie.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Valens Hughes, and two sisters, Eileen Hughes and Lorraine Raymond.
