Kathleen Gruebele, age 62, of Fridley died March 20, 2013 at Unity Hospital in Fridley. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 26th at Strike Funeral Home – Cambridge Chapel with Rev. Del Schnaidt officiating. A time for visiting will be held from 5:00 P.M. until the service at 7:00 P.M. Interment will be in Isanti Union Cemetery at a later date.
Kathleen Ann Gruebele was born September 17, 1950 in Ashland, Wisconsin to Fred and Terry (Tiradani) Richardson. She graduated from Northwestern High School in Maple, Wisconsin in 1968. Kathleen then attended Sawyer School of Business in Rochester, New York and graduated in 1970. On July 17, 1987 Kathleen married Donald Gruebele and they made their home in Coon Rapids. In 1995 they moved to Fridley. Kathleen and Don adopted two wonderful daughters. Kathleen was a Medical Assistant and was proud of her medical career. She also was involved in operating Northside Welding which she and Donald owned. Kathleen enjoyed collecting things including mugs, T-shirts and magnets from all over. She was also a fan of bears and the color purple. She also enjoyed ice skating and especially loved watching her daughters play soccer and other activities.
Katheen Gruebele passed away March 20, 2013 at Unity Hospital at the age of 62 years, 6 months and 3 days. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, and father, Fred Richardson.
Kathleen is survived by her daughters, Alyssa Gruebele, Alaynna Gruebele, and Donna Jensen; mother, Terry Richardson; brothers, Arlyn “Chuck” (Linda) Richardson, Fred “Skip” (Cheryl) Richardson; grandchildren, Tucker and Ethan; by her dog, Jake and hamsters, Mooshie and Cookie; and by many other relatives and friends.
