Orley Pettiford, age 67, of Cambridge died March 18, 2013 at his home. A graveside service will be held at 12 noon at Crystal Lake Cemetery in Minneapolis on Saturday, March 23rd with a Memorial Celebration following at 2:00 PM at the Bill and Bonnie Daniels Fire Fighters Museum in Minneapolis 664 – 22nd Ave NE
Orley was a Minneapolis Fire Fighters Captain and retired as an arson investigator.
Orley is survived by his loving wife, Debra Deaton; two sons, Tony Pettiford of Texas and Sean (Brandi) Pettiford of Texas; four grandchildren, Zoe, Alex, Orley and Kep; mother, Jeanne Pettiford of Minneapolis; brother, Harry Pettiford of Minneapolis; and by many other family and friends.
I will never forget you Orley. You shared many deep insights throughout our Martial arts training. You were always there for the 22 years that I studied Kung Fu. Rest in peace my friend. A part of you survives in all of us that knew you.
