DeLoris Bates, age 79, of Blaine died unexpectedly June 13, 2013 at her home. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, June 17, 2013 with a gathering 1 hour prior to the service at Strike Funeral Home – Isanti Chapel. Rev. Howard Skulstad will officiate and burial will be in Isanti Union Cemetery.
DeLoris Joyce Bates was born May 30, 1934 in Cambridge to Clifford and Genevieve (Satterlund) Kluck. She was raised and lived her early years in the Cambridge area. On December 6, 1951 she married Ted Bates and they made their home in the Fridley – Blaine area. DeLoris was a long time employee of La Maur Inc. in Fridley. DeLoris especially loved her family and all of the family activities and going up north to the cabin.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ted on June 22, 2006; and by 6 brothers. DeLoris is survived by her daughter, Denise (Bruce) Johnson of Blaine; son, Terry Bates of St. Cloud; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Ramona (Lyle) Johnson of Brooklyn Center, Phyllis Adelman of Henderson, Nevada, Shirley Kyllo of Minneapolis, Rose (Gordon) Marquart of Blaine; 3 brothers, Dan (Bette) Kluck of New Hope, Joe (Becky) Kluck of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Marlin (Sue) Nelson of Minneapolis; and by many other relatives and friends.
