Jim O’Neil of Isanti died unexpectedly August 10, 2013 in Isanti. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, August 19, 2013 at First Baptist Church in Cambridge with Rev. Bill Berg officiating. A gathering time will be held from noon until the service. Memorials are suggested to the family.
James Donald O’Neil was born February 6, 1981 in Forest Lake to Mike and Cindy (Swanson) O’Neil. Jim was raised in the Cambridge/Isanti area. He worked in the construction trades. He enjoyed both winter and summer fishing, going agate hunting and polishing his finds. Jim enjoyed “wheeling and dealing” and he was always tinkering with something. He was a people pleaser and had a wide diversity of friends.
Jim was preceded in death by grandfather, Marlo Swanson. He is survived by 2 children, Alexander and Keegan O’Neil of Cambridge; his significant other, Misty Johnson and her daughter Courtney of Cambridge; parents, Mike and Cindy O’Neil of Isanti; 3 siblings, Pat (Vanessa) O’Neil of Coon Rapids, Krystie O’Neil and Joe Rottelo of Isanti, Carl (Jessica) O’Neil of Cambridge; grandparents, Vivian Swanson of Ham Lake, Bill and Jo O’Neil of Aitkin; and by many other relatives and friends.
