Ralph Steiner, age 75, of Isanti died August 9, 2013 at home. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 13th at Strike Funeral Home – Isanti Chapel with Rev. Matt Flom officiating. A visitation will be held two hours prior to the service. Interment will be in Sundown Lutheran Cemetery near Springfield.
Ralph Howard Steiner was born May 14, 1938 in Springfield, Minnesota to Marion and Merty Steiner. He grew up in Springfield and graduated from Springfield High School in 1956. In his youth he worked at the bowling alley and Tauer Super Value in Springfield. On August 13, 1960 Ralph married Judith Bredvold at Sundown Lutheran Church. They made their home in North St. Paul and then Maplewood before moving to Forest Lake in 1970 to be in the country and have his own hobby farm. In 2004 they moved to Isanti where they lived the rest of their lives.
Ralph worked in several capacities at Deluxe Check Printers for his entire career. He was a people person and enjoyed visiting with everyone. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, trap shooting, snowmobiling, and traveling. He especially enjoyed camping with his family. Ralph also enjoyed watching sports and coaching his kid’s softball and baseball teams. He also loved playing softball for many years with his work team. Ralph also enjoyed breeding and showing Arabian horses.
He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Lisa (Charles) Jett of McKinney, Texas; son, Anthony (Cynthia) Steiner of Aubrey, Texas; three grandchildren, Caleb, Scott and Katie; and by other relatives and friends. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Judith, and brother, Leo.
