Mark Christenson, age 60, of Wyoming, MN died October 11, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 15th at Strike Funeral Home – Isanti Chapel with Rev. Matt Flom officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until the service Tuesday. Mark is survived by his wife, Beverly, sons, Dustin (Raylin), and Adam; brothers, Brian (Kathleen), and Bradley (Patricia); sister, Jill (Elroy) Ross; mother-in-law, Joyce Scharpen; and family.
Mark Alan Christenson was born September 21, 1953 Delbert and Norma Jean (Johnson) in Montevideo. He was raised in the surrounding area and he graduated from Forest Lake High School. On July 22, 1985 he married Beverly Scharpen and they have made their home in Wyoming, Minnesota. Mark worked at Cy-Con, Inc. as a carpenter in St. Paul. He was a member of the Carpenters Union. He loved his family, grandchildren and all of the family activities. He also enjoyed car shows, hunting, going to the casino and just helping people out.
Mark passed away on October 11, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids at the age of 60 years and 20 days. He is survived by his wife, Beverly of Wyoming; 2 sons, Dustin (Raylin) Christenson of Oak Grove, Adam Christenson of Blaine; 4 grandchildren, Gretta, Alyssa, Justin and Drew; 2 brothers, Brian (Kathleen) Christenson of Chisago City, Bradley (Patricia) Christenson of Forest Lake; 1 sister, Jill (Elroy) Ross of Granite Falls; mother-in-law, Joyce Scharpen of Cambridge; and by many other relatives and friends.
Saddened to hear of Mark’s passing. Mark is a cousin of mine and we were born on the same day, same year and also in the same hospital. I can relate to the sorrow you are feeling, my husband passed away a few years ago. May you find comfort in having family and friends close during this difficult time.
