Kathleen Kaye Johnson, age 64, of Braham, died November 12, 2013 at home. A memorial service will be held from 1-4 PM on Saturday, November 23rd at American Legion, Post 600 in Champlin, 12450 Business Park Blvd N. Champlin 55316.
Kathleen “Kaye” McGee Johnson was born January 19, 1949 in Minneapolis, MN to Weldon and Donna (Zeman) McGee. Kaye enjoyed many good times up at the lake in Wisconsin with her family when the boys were growing up. She loved to cook and was very good at it. Some of her best known recipes were spaghetti, 3 bean hotdish and potato boats. Kaye could take anything and make a room look fabulous; she had a great eye for decorating. She also took an interest in antiques and collecting crystals of all kinds. Kaye was a very passionate person and was very proud of her sons, grandchildren and the whole family. She was close to all her sisters and brothers.
Kaye passed away November 12, 2013 at home at the age of 64 years, 9 months and 24 days. She was preceded in death by her mother, Donna M. Chelman; father, Weldon L. McGee; grandmother, Bobbi Wicks; and sister, Amy Chelman Miller.
Kaye is survived by her sons, Bart (Kristen) May, Bret (Tina) May, David Johnson; grandchildren, Bailey May, Mikayla May, Ben May; parents, Carl Chelman and Margret Iverson; sisters and brothers, Chuck (Pat) McGee, Scott McGee, Kelli Rivera, D’Arcy McGee, Kori Chelman, Virginia (Jeff) Bruhn, Michael (Kris) Iverson; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Kaye loved deeply and will be greatly missed by everyone she knew and loved.
