Kimberly Ekstrand, age 54, of Milaca died January 22, 2014 at Heritage House Assisted Living of Milaca. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 25th at Strike Funeral Home – Isanti Chapel with Rev. Kevin Zellers officiating. A time for visiting will be held one hour prior to the service.
Kimberly Ann Ekstrand was born November 1, 1959 in Cambridge to Darlene and Dennis Ekstrand. They lived in Bloomington for 6 years and then moved to Ham Lake for 12 years. Kim graduated from Blaine High School. After high school she worked at various jobs. Kim later moved to Onamia and then to Milaca about a year and a half ago. She loved children and motorcycling.
Kimberly died January 22, 2014 at Heritage House of Milaca Assisted Living at the age of 54 years, 2 months and 21 days.
Kim is survived by her son, Spencer Ekstrand of Stanchfield; mother and step-father, Darlene and Donald Kunzer of Cambridge; father, Dennis Ekstrand of Wisconsin; 2 sisters, Tammy Vaughn of Milaca, Denise Holmes of Milaca; 2 brothers, Randy Ekstrand of Milaca, Brian Ekstrand of Pine River; and by many other relatives and friends.

Tammy and Denise, My heart goes out to you both. I can not comprehend the loss you must feel. There are “no” words to ease your pain, the loss is too fresh.
