Steven L. Sohlstrom, age 45, of Dalbo died January 7, 2014 at home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 11th at Salem Lutheran Church in Dalbo with Rev. Mark Radeke and Rev. Sarah Bunge officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church and also from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. Friday, January 10th at Strike Funeral Home – Cambridge Chapel. Interment will be in Salem Lutheran Cemetery.
Steven Larry Sohlstrom was born November 12, 1968 in Fridley, Minnesota to Larry and Judy (Fokken) Sohlstrom. When Steve was in the third grade their family moved to Dalbo. He graduated from Princeton High School in 1987. Steve then attended Anoka Technical College and Dunwoody Institute. On June 11, 2005 Steve was united in marriage to Trinette Kazeck at Salem Lutheran Church in Dalbo. They were blessed with two wonderful children, Abigail and Vincent. Steve loved being a dad and he cherished his kids. Steve planned a special family vacation to Yellowstone National Park this past summer. He was very involved at River of Life Church in Cambridge. Steve enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, going to the cabin and being with his family. He will be dearly missed.
Steve died January 7, 2014 at home at the age of 45 years, 1 month and 26 days. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Alan Fokken and Vincent and Hazel Sohlstrom.
Steve is survived by his wife, Trinette and children, Abigail and Vincent, of Dalbo; parents, Larry and Judy Sohlstrom of Dalbo; grandmother, Cleone Fokken of Milaca; two sisters, Vicky (David) Warren of Dalbo and Sandy (Craig) Quale of Dalbo; by nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.

This is shocking to hear this. Steve was always ready to help me with whatever I needed as a student at Normandale Community College. He was funny and had a warm smile that was welcoming. With out his help, I don’t think I would have completed my degree at Normandale. My heart is sorry for the loss of such a great man. My deepest condolences to the family of Steve Sohlstrom.

I was only in to work with Steve at the NCC lab a few times, and was always happy to see him. He was always beyond helpful, and his warm smile and great attitude were something I looked forward to. He will be greatly missed by all. My condolences to his family and friends in their time of grief.
