Tom A. Rundquist, age 62, of Isanti died March 21, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids. A memorial service will be held at Noon on Friday, March 28th at St. John Lutheran Church, Weber, with Rev. Kevin Zellers officiating. A time for visiting will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, North Branch Township with Military Honors provided by the Isanti VFW Post.
Tom Albin Rundquist was born October 6, 1951 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Ralph and Colleen (LaSalle) Rundquist. He was raised and attended school in Fridley. Tom then served his country in the US Army. In 1971 Tom was united in marriage to Carmen Johnson and they made their home in Isanti. He owned and operated his own business “Tom’s Machine Maintenance and Repair”. He loved family and his kids dearly. He also loved his dog, Belle. Tom enjoyed playing softball, deer hunting, fishing, playing horseshoes and chess. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Weber.
Tom Rundquist passed away March 21, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids at the age of 62 years, 5 months and 15 days. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry, and granddaughter, Evie.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carmen; son, Jesse Rundquist of Rush City; two daughters, Christina Hisgun of Minneapolis, Alexis Rundquist of Isanti; two brothers, Ralph Jr. and Fred Rundquist; one sister, Cindy Hartinger; eight grandchildren, Emily, Starr, Ethan, Matthew, Alexis, Ellie, Conrad and Greta; and by many other relatives and friends.
