Maxine Pasch, age 90, of Cambridge died April 8, 2014 at Cambridge Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 11th at Strike Funeral Home – Cambridge Chapel with Pastor Jared Gustafson officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral Friday.
Maxine Alice Pasch (Gunter) was born February 7, 1924 in Winona, Minnesota to Elmer and Frances Gunter. She was raised and attended school in Hastings.
Maxine married Leander Pasch on September 19, 1944 in San Francisco, California during WWII. She worked in the U.S. Post Office at that time sorting the mail for the Army, including General MacArthur. After the war her and Lee moved to St. Louis, Missouri and managed a dry cleaning business. Then they moved back to Minnesota and had and raised their three children.
Maxine moved to Florida for health reasons and stayed for 25 years. During that time she got involved in Al-Anon and opened a literature distribution center out of her home. She was also involved in Stephens Ministries along with Billy Graham Ministries. In 2001 she moved back to Minnesota and resided in Cambridge.
On April 8, 2014, Maxine went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at the age of 90 years, 2 months and 1 day.
Maxine is survived by her three children, Barb (Gordy) Berg, Greg (Barb) Pasch and Michael (Kathleen) Pasch; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
