Jodi R. Geving (Pearson), age 51, of Isanti died January 9th at home. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, JANUARY 17th at Faith Lutheran Church in Isanti with Rev. Clifton Hanson officiating. A time for visiting will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the spring at Calvary Cemetery in Rush City.
Jodi was born October 1, 1963 in Rush City, Minnesota to Jerome and Violet (Lutroe) Pearson. The family moved to Cambridge in 1968. Jodi attended West Riverside School until it was consolidated with Cambridge schools. She graduated from Cambridge High School in 1981 and went to work at Lutheran Brotherhood in Minneapolis. She also had worked at U.S. Water in Cambridge and most recently at Allina Home Oxygen and Medical Equipment in St. Paul until her cancer was discovered in February 2014. On New Year’s Eve 2012 Jodi married Mark Geving after three years of dating. They made their home in Isanti. Jodi enjoyed planting and growing her flowers, keeping her house clean and neat, sneaking up to the casino with friends, going to Target field to watch the Twins and spending quiet evenings at home with Mark. Jody was hardworking, honest, and friendly to all people that she met. She will be dearly missed.
Jodi will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Mark; four children, Jessica (Michael) Shields of Cambridge, Jennifer Wagner of Cambridge, Jonathan Hanson of Harris, and Brandon Hanson of Cambridge; parents, Jerome and Violet Pearson of Cambridge; five grandchildren, Caitlin, Rachel, Austin, Dominic, and Jason; four step-children, Aaron (Jackie) Geving of Cambridge, Tony Geving of Cambridge, Alex Geving of Hollywood, Florida, and Amanda (Allen) Waukazo of Isanti; six step-grandchildren, Jordan, Ashton, Avery, Anna, Ava, and Brayden; and by many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and by her brothers, Jerome “Chip” Pearson Jr., and an infant brother, Jason.
