Willard S. Larson, age 81, of Isanti died February 11, 2015 in Isanti. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 14th at Christ the King Catholic Church in Cambridge with Deacon Gene Kramer officiating. A time for visiting will be held one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. Interment will be in Christ the King Catholic Cemetery.
Willard “Larc” Larson was born November 4, 1933 in Cambridge, Minnesota to Quinn and Ardelle (Lundberg) Larson. He grew up in the Cambridge area and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1951. On May 3, 1963 Willie married Jo (Bohlen) and they made their home in Isanti. Willie was an entrepreneur and owned Larco Engineering, The Spirit of 76 Gun Shop, and Sacora Art Gallery in Isanti.
He had a very strong interest in motorcycles and taught his kids how to ride. He was a charter member of the Straight Arrow Motorcycle Club and member of the Norsemen’s Motorcycling Club for many years. Willie also enjoyed writing and wrote books about motorcycles and another of his interests, history. He was also a member of the Isanti County Historical Society.
Willie also enjoyed hunting and his trips to the old family hunting land with family near Big Falls, Minnesota brought many great memories. Those special times, and all the fun stories, will be cherished and live on with his family.
Willard Spencer Larson passed away suddenly February 11, 2015 in Isanti, Minnesota at the age of 81 years, 3 months and 7 days. He was preceded in death by his parents, Quinn and Ardelle Larson.
Willie is survived by his loving wife, Jo; nine children, Terry (Diane) Beckman of St. Paul, Kenny (Phillipa) Beckman of New Zealand, Steve Beckman of Stanchfield, Cathy (Randy) Polzin of Isanti, Brian (Sara) Guenther of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Chris Beckman of Isanti, Bobbi (Steve) Nelson of Phillips, Wisconsin, Billy Larson of Minneapolis, and Colin Larson of Minneapolis; 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren; and by many other relatives and friends.
