Mary Ann Johnson, age 63, of Braham died March 12, 2015 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, MARCH 21st at Strike Funeral Home – Cambridge Chapel. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. She is survived by her husband, Wayne, and family.
Mary Ann Johnson was born March 27, 1951 in Braham, Minnesota to Roy and Bernice (Backlund) Babb. She grew up in the Braham area. On December 28, 1974 Mary Ann was married to Wayne L. Johnson and they were blessed with two sons, Matt and Jason.
Mary Ann was a very caring person and she showed her compassion for others generously. She also was an animal lover. She had many pets of all kinds, including her pet pig, Babe. Mary Ann spoiled her pets as much, if not more, than she spoiled her family. She also enjoyed baking and cooking, crocheting, working on word searches, and especially being with her grandchildren and all her family.
Mary Ann will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Wayne; two sons, Matt Johnson and Jason Johnson; two brothers, Jerry Babb and Billy Babb; two sisters, Maxine (Mike) Silva, and Donna Chapel; two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Olivia Johnson; very close niece, Tami Kullmann; many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
