Jeremiah “Jere” Hylton, age 34, of Oceanside, California and formerly of the Cambridge-Isanti area, died recently in California. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M. Monday, June 22nd at Strike Funeral Home – Cambridge Chapel with Pastor Theres Helker officiating. A visitation will be held Monday from 5:00 P.M. until the service at 7:00 P.M.
Jeremiah “Jere” Scot Hylton was born May 11, 1981 in St. Paul MN to Larry and Pam Hylton. He was welcomed home by older brother Andy and three years later joined by his sister Bonnie.
Jere attended Cambridge/Isanti schools and graduated from Cambridge High school in 1999.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working out at the gym and playing sports. He loved the water and ventured to Hawaii for a short time but finally ended up in California in 2005 where he started J&J Construction. After 2 years he moved on to California Millworks where he ran the company’s operation division for the last 8 years.
Jere died unexpectedly June 13, 2015 at the age of 34. He was preceded in death by Grandfather Larry Sr. Grandmother Ruth Lyman and cousin Shad Atchley.
Jere is survived by his parents Larry and Pam, brother Andy (Angie), sister Bonnie (Bob) Derr, nephews Colton, Chase, Zachary and niece Alayna, grandmother Margaret Hylton, grandfather Jim Lyman and friends Seth Seaton (Angie), Jeremy Kunz (Cynthia), Alan Ang (Laura) just to name a very few.
