Michael DuChene, age 50, of Anoka, formerly of Maplewood died October 11, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 15th at Strike Funeral Home – Isanti Chapel with Deacon George Stahl officiating. A visitaton will be held one hour prior to service at the chapel. Internment at Isanti Union Cemetery.
Michael George DuChene was born March 13, 1965 in St. Paul, MN to Raymond J. and Sharon (Powell) DuChene. He is a 1983 graduate of Hill-Murray High School in Maplewood. Following graduation, he completed the auto mechanics program at the St. Paul TVI. He worked as a mechanic in the St. Paul/ Maplewood area. Michael was united in marriage to Jill Rae Crisp, June 29, 1996 in Plymouth, MN. They later divorced. He later worked as a custodian at a number of facilities until ill health forced his retirement in 2010. He spent his final days at Whispering Pines – The Oaks Assisted Living in Anoka.
Michael enjoyed NASCAR racing, hunting and fishing.
Michael died Sunday, October 11, 2015 at The Oaks Assisted Living in Anoka at the age of 50 years, 6 months and 28 days.
Survivors include two sisters: Deborah DuChene of Lino Lakes; Tera Schusted of Lino Lakes; two nieces: Melissa DuChene of Lino Lakes; Varsha Schusted of Lino Lakes and a Great Niece: Kyra DuChene of Lino Lakes.
