Iola married Bob Bergman at Westbrook Lutheran Parish House on March 15, 1946. She was also very involved in Randy and Rick’s sports activities, never missed a game and was the score keeper. She also volunteered at their schools and at Martin Luther Manor Home for the elderly in the lunchrooms. After the boys were out on their own Bob and Iola moved to the Cambridge-Isanti area. She belonged to Long Lake Lutheran Church where she was a very active member. She always belonged to a circle and would never say no when she was asked to work in the kitchen or to make bars, hot dishes or salads for a funeral or a luncheon. Iola loved to bowl and was on several leagues. She also loved playing cards, bingo and most of all loved to watch the Twins play baseball. Iola was all about family, her grandchildren and great grandchildren meant the world to her.
