Joanne will be so incredibly missed.
I worked with her for over 6 years at Midwest Motor Express. She could light up a room with her smile, and she was always so funny and cheerful- no matter what. She was never too busy to help, and always cared what you had to say about any matter at hand.
Joanne loved hearing about my chickens and seeing pictures- as well as sharing her stories. My favorite being that of her sisters peacock.
Her home is in the midst of my route, and I happen a cross it maybe once a week. I would always wave and hope she’d see or hear the truck, as I could rarely stop to chat. (On one occasion, I happened upon her and her dog out to walk up to the train tracks and chatted). She was such a joy, I would liked to have stopped everyday.

I worked with Joanne for almost 10 years at MME and she always did everything she could to brighten up a room or a coworkers day.
She was always so nice to me , when my mom was passing away in the hospital over the course a month or so , she would come up to me and ask what’s wrong and when it got to be too much for me and I broke down she grabbed me and gave me a big hug and let me cry on her shoulder.
I later got to return the favor when she lost one of her older Dogs (her Babies) she would call them.
My heart goes out to Amber , I remember answering many phone calls early in the morning from you asking “is my mom there” and your mom would answer and with out skipping a beat say “your going to school!”
My heart also goes out to Darryl and the rest of Joannes surviving friends and family.
The world lost a good woman and heaven gained an awesome angel. She will be missed by everyone.

Joni was a one in a million great person. We were blessed with her wicked sense of humor, her love of family and any animal ever created. She was so proud of Amber, and found the love of her life in Darrell. She was the world’s best aunt/great aunt! She took that job very seriously. She was fiercely protective of everyone she loved. She is gone way too soon. She was not only my sister, she was my best friend. I just keep reminding myself that now she and Terrible Tillie can be together. I will love her always!

I am so sorry for your loss, although we didn’t know each other well Joni was a customer of mine for 15 years. She always asked about my children when she came in, and we shared many a laugh, I will miss her smiling face.

Joanne always brightened my day and had a sweet but almost mischievous smile on those early days at MME. She would always make a point to say hi and how things were going, always looking for a good laugh.
Every driver will tell you that she would always fix those bring backs or “make them go away”. I could always count on her, for so many things. I miss her. I am so very sorry, she and her family are in our prayers.

Joanne was a pleasure to work with, she was awesome at making appointments and arranging residential deliveries that would make my days easier. I will greatly miss seeing her smile and are short conversations in her office and in passings on the dock.
