Pearl A. Thompson, age 80, of Cambridge and formerly of Bethel and St. Francis, died January 31, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, in October 2016. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 4th at Strike Funeral Home – Cambridge Chapel. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Old Bethel Cemetery.
Pearl Angeline Thompson was born January 24, 1937 in Dalbo, Minnesota to Richard and Nellie (Quickstrom) Williams. She grew up and attended school in Minneapolis and Bethel, Minnesota. On December 31, 1969 Pearl married Donald Lewis Thompson and they made their home in Bethel. They moved to St. Francis where they would live 38 years. In March 2016 they moved to Cambridge. Pearl worked at Honeywell for many years until her retirement. Pearl and Donald were passionate about breeding and showing Rottweilers. They won numerous trophies in those competitions. They held close their Christian faith and strong relationships with family and friends.
Pearl passed away January 31, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids at the age of 80 years and 7 days. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald in October 2016; and by three brothers, Harvey Williams, Sheldon Williams and Desmond Davis.
She will be lovingly remembered by her four children, Scott, Todd, Daniel and Raina; three grandchildren, Ashley, Amira and Jada; two great-grandchildren, Carley and Sydney; and one sister, Patricia Williams.
