Bart J. Simonson, age 52, of Cambridge died March 10, 2017 at Aspen Foster Care in Cambridge. A memorial visitation will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 18th, with a brief service at 4:00 P.M., at Strike Funeral Home – Cambridge Chapel. Bart is the son of Jackie and Dean Englund.
Bart John Simonson was born August 2, 1964 in St. Paul, Minnesota. In 1973 their family moved to Isanti. Bart was very mechanical and loved working on engines and mudding trucks. He liked to fix things, was good at it, and shared his skill by helping fix many things for others. Besides being a “Motor Head” Bart enjoyed playing video games. He has been cared for at Aspen Foster Care in Cambridge since last May. He enjoyed his caregivers and friends there and his family is thankful for the terrific care he received.
Bart is survived by his parents, Jackie and Dean Englund of Isanti; two brothers, Brett Simonson and Jeremy Englund; nieces and nephews, David, Torah, Joshua and Addy; and by many other relatives and friends.

I’m Larry Heller’s mom. Larry, Shelli, & Ty had a lot of fun together, but sometimes they got into trouble. The last time I saw Bart was at Larry’s funeral. I’m sure that he is not in pain anymore. My thoughts & prayers are with you. I really wanted to come but I fell so my mobility is limited. Bart was a good sweet kind kid. I’m sure that Larry & Bart are having a few beers.
