Sheldon Alban Anderson, age 80, of Cambridge passed away March 28, 2017 in Harris, Minnesota. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 1st at Strike Funeral Home – Cambridge Chapel with a time for visiting held one hour prior. Military Honors will be provided by Howard McCarty American Legion Post 290 of Cambridge.
Sheldon Alban Anderson was born November 22, 1936 at Midway Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota to Albin and Rose (Miller) Anderson. He was raised and attended school in Roseville. Sheldon served his country in the US Marine Corps. In 1960 he married Helen Grote and three children were born, Duane, Brenda and Donna. Sheldon married Debra Wuensch in 1984 and gained two step-children, Magel and Rocky. He worked at Lametti and Sons and many other construction companies. Sheldon quit construction and purchased Roger Sellman Trucking of Amelund, hauling cattle and freight. He also worked for C.W. Houle as a heavy equipment operator, which he loved. Sheldon also loved fishing, woodworking, playing cribbage and playing poker. He had many friends and will be dearly missed.
Sheldon Alban Anderson passed away March 28, 2017 in Harris, Minnesota at the age of 80 years, 4 months and 6 days. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two infant siblings; three sisters, Rosemary Freese, Geraldine Peterson, and Shirley Schonhardt; one brother, Kenneth Anderson; and three brothers-in-law, Arnold Freese, Charles Peterson, and Herman Schonhardt.
He is survived by his wife, Debra; son, Duane (Kari) Anderson, two daughters, Brenda (David) Schuldt, and Donna (Tim) Ferguson; step-daughter, Magel (Simeon) Nsibambi; step-son, Rocky (Dawn) Wuensch; grandchildren, Michael, Mitchell (Christine), and Cody (Bre) Anderson; Heather Heckt; Bryan and Travis Schuldt; Katrina (Dane) Semmer and Alexis (Al Jr.) Guizzetti; great-grandchildren Charlise, Easton, and Aubrey Anderson; step-grandchildren, Courtney and John Nsibami; sister-in-law, Rolande; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Dan and I are so very sorry for the your loss of Sheldon. We loved him and enjoyed being around him very much. What a kind, caring, comical man, always working, laughing and doing for others. Our prayers go out to Sheldon and his family. He was my best friend at Cribbage at Captions on Long Lake, Isanti Mn. He could get me to settle down when the mean people at Cribbage. Would not follow the rules and treat me like dirt. Sheldon hD a heart of gold. His family can be proud of him. He stopped playing because he played cards with a group of friends and his loving wife. I would of liked to met her. We talked on phone briefly. He always had nice things to say about her. He will dearly be missed by Gary my husband and i and his good old buddies.
