Mark Allen Olson was born on June 10th, 1961 in Fort Benning, Georgia to Kenneth and Diana (Niemann) Olson. When he was 1 year old he moved with his family to Germany to a US army base. He spent 3 years of his young life there before returning back to the United States. He traveled a lot before finally settling in Minnesota with his family.
Mark was married to Tammy (Feigum) Olson on April 25th, 1981. Mark and Tammy welcomed two sons; Jerimiah on January 28th, 1981 and Joshua on April 7th, 1984. Then shortly after, they purchased their first home in Saint Francis, Minnesota. Mark and his wife Tammy raised their two sons in central Minnesota, most of that time being spent at a country farmhouse in Isanti, Minnesota.
Mark enjoyed the outdoors, especially gardening and bird watching. He spent many hours tending to his birds, squirrels and striped gophers. He would spend all day and night outside if he could. Mark was always working on projects around the house; he loved to keep himself busy. He also enjoyed cooking; pizza and pasta were his specialties. He was an amazing cook, son, husband, father and grandfather.
Mark is survived by his wife, Tammy; two sons, Jerimiah and Joshua (Anita) Olson; parents Kenneth and Diana (Niemann) Olson; three brothers, Joseph Olson, David (Debbi) Olson, and Daniel (Kaye) Olson; four grandchildren, Charity, Chloe, Hayden and Dawson; and by many other friends and family.
