She loved being involved in church, with women’s groups, hospitality, and decorating. As a certified Master Gardener, she helped design Cambridge City Park and assisted with residential gardening needs. She was a floral designer and worked on countless weddings including both of her daughters. Overall, she was creative and everything she touched was beautiful. Diane had a love for the outdoors and loved to garden, enjoyed kayaking, skiing and camping with her husband in their vintage Airstream.
Diane was born on May 18, 1954 to Floyd and Jean Martin in Superior, WI and graduated from Superior Sr. High School in 1972. She married her best friend, Rob Larson on June 30, 1973.
She is so very missed by parents, Floyd and Jean Martin (Cloquet, MN), husband, Rob Larson (Cambridge, MN), daughters, Christy (Mark) Moline (Fountain City, WI) and Tonya (Nick) Mancuso (Robbinsdale, MN), brother, David (Donna) Martin (Silver City, NM), and 7 beloved grandchildren. She left this earthly home in the arms of her husband to awake in the arms of the Lord.

I will always remember Diane’s sweet smile, tender heart and calm demeaner! She was a gem, she was a great skier and a special time I remember about Diane is when her and Barb stopped by my home spur of the moment and we went for a river walk. as we were walking Diane shouted out “oh how wonderful!” Look at those orange flowers down there (at the bottom of the hill near the wet land area) they are (can’t remember the name) but Diane knew the name of them and said she hadn’t seem them in years! That moment was so precious! I loved that about Diane! I feel blessed to have known her, I think she was a friend to everyone she met! Love and peace, Sue Redfield

Thanks for sharing this Tonya. The little I knew of your mother was enough to know how beautiful of a woman she was. Me and Allyson will be praying for you and your family.
And I heard a voice from heaven, saying, “Write, ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on!’” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “so that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow with them.” Rev 14:13

I remember when we were little and went to visit Grandma Lagro on her farm, we would also go to visit Robbie, Diane, and the girls. I loved visiting and getting to ride Bonnie the horse! Diane always made us feel loved and welcome in her home. She had a beautiful smile–her whole face smiled!! She was a fantastic cook as well. All my love to Robbie, kids, and grandkids. She will be so missed.

As with the many plants and flowers Diane cultivated in her life, she most certainly cultivated a lasting legacy of love that will carry on for generations.

I knew Diane as a co-worker and friend. She was a beautiful, talented and kind soul – I was blessed to know her. May God surround the entire family with his love and give you peace.

Diane was a blessing to us, as a member of our extended family, and a loving friend to my mother. Diane and Rob helped my mother during the time of my father’s illness and then his death. They were neighbors and family. Diane graciously allowed her husband to be borrowed to help my parents’ house be more accessible to my dad as he lost mobility. Diane was a gracious hostess on many holidays. She held grandchildren’s birthday parties and Christmas eve parties, as well as other family get-togethers. She blessed us with her appreciation for cross-country skiing, baking, and gardening. She was a wonderful grandmother. She encouraged her grandchildren’s love of the outdoors. She gardened with them, and she made sure that they knew that she loved them.
