DuWayne C. Hougo, age 78, of Cambridge died September 17, 2017 at GracePointe Crossing Gables West. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Friday, September 29th at Strike Life Tributes in Cambridge. A memorial visitation will begin at 5:00 P.M. and continue until the service starts at 7:00.
DuWayne Clifford Hougo was born to Andrew and Nettie (Brekke) Hougo on January 17, 1939. He was raised and attended school in the Cannon Falls area. He graduated in 1957.
DuWayne worked as a machinist on the night shift for many years at Graco in North Minneapolis. He transferred to Motek (Team Industries) as a head inspector in Cambridge for 20 years.
DuWayne was a simple man who enjoyed playing cards with friends, bowling with his wife, Barbara and many family trips to Big Sandy Lake in McGregor.
DuWayne passed away peacefully September 17, 2017. DuWayne was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Nettie Hougo; four sisters, Berdella, Lorraine, Geraldine and Ardis; four brothers, Curt, Connard, Edward and Neil; two daughters, Susan and Gwendolynn.
He is survived by his family and friends. DuWayne will truly be missed by those whose lives he touched.
Life is sweet, you never know when someone is going to come into your life or go out of your life…Cherish the time you have with them.

Duwayne Hougo must have been an pretty amazing man to have raise such a beautifully natured family with whom I had the joy of spending very precious time with during the days of this chapter in his life were complete and before his new journey of life began. He will be surely missed and absolutely loved and most definitely celebrated. I am truly grateful his wishes were honored to spend his final moments surrounded by love.
Barbera, you are blessed young lady with a very caring and courageous daughter Pam whom has a very loving, dedicated husband with three amazing granddaughters. Pam and Barbera your dedication to stay by his side means the world to him, thank you for showing Duwayne this respect.
