Ronald Leroy McGinnis, age 82, of Cambridge died November 28, 2017 at GracePointe Crossing Gables East. A graveside service will be held at 10:45 A.M. Saturday, December 2nd at Assembly Area #2 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Ronald was born January 14, 1935 to Thomas and Hazel (Burlison) McGinnis in Bock, MN. He was raised in the Milaca area and after high school joined the Air Force. On May 1, 1964, Ron married Judith Ann (Judi) Reber at Ellsworth Air Force base in Rapid City, SD. They later divorced in 1980. He was a cook in the Air Force and he retired from the Air Force. After retirement he lived in the Milaca area for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading and in the last few years, coloring pages and laminating them for his family and friends.
He is survived by his children, Shawn Reyes of Green River, WY, Sheryl Rawlings of New Braunfels, TX and Greg McGinnis of Yellowstone National Park, WY; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Nancy McGinnis; many nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lavern, Eugene “Mac” and Dale McGinnis; sisters, Irene McGinnis, Lois Ann Jester and Delores Edberg.
